about Chosen one ministries
Hi, and welcome to Chosen One Ministries, the vision and passion of Kory Kraft and his wife Jennifer, who live and breathe adoption every day of their lives.
I (Kory) am passionate about this ministry because adoption is so personal to me on so many levels. This ministry is rooted in the love from and for my family--my parents and siblings as well as my own family--my beautiful wife Jennifer and our daughter, whom God allowed us to adopt. Jennifer and I made up our minds even before we got married that we wanted to adopt to grow our family. We wanted to keep a legacy in place that started with my parents, and we hope to inspire not only more family members but others we meet along this journey to do the same. I (Jennifer) am humbled and honored that God has chosen me to play a role in adoption. I understand more clearly how much God loves me each time I look into the face of our daughter and every time I see my husband interact with his family. We cannot tell our story without weaving the Lord through every scene, and we pray that our tale will encourage others to know that God truly keeps His promises and blesses us beyond all that we can ask or think. The goal of Chosen One Ministries is to educate and encourage families that wish to adopt by sharing our story of adoption, directing families in prayer and Bible study through the process, and telling waiting families what they can expect—which seems to be the unexpected! I (Kory) would also like to share the story of my own adoption as a child. I have the double blessing of knowing what adoption is like from both perspectives. As you can see by the many Bible verses listed on our site, we believe that adoption is Scriptural. Moses and Esther were adopted. Technically, Jesus was adopted. If you are a fellow believer in Christ, we’ve got news for you--you are adopted, too! What amazes us is that because we are adopted as Christians, we’re joint heirs with Jesus Christ. In fact, Kory was adopted twice! Think about this--if you are a believer in Him, God, your Father, does not love you any less or any more than His only begotten Son. Wow…we’re royalty through adoption. We have heard many say, “We thought about adopting, but we wanted our own…” We never understood that. Ever. It has always been my experience that my parents wanted their own, me. I never felt any less loved or appreciated or accepted than my siblings. What if God said, I would have saved you, but I wanted my own? Thank God (literally) that He accepts us as His very own, eternally! The bottom line for us is that every child deserves a loving and Godly home. That means EVERY child. As we embark on this mission to open the door for communication about the Biblical stance on adoption, we’re excited about making adoption not just a popular, gracious and unselfish option, but the dominant option to create or grow families. |
